DailyPOS (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how DailyPOS collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the DailyPOS mobile application.
By using DailyPOS, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
DailyPOS may collect and process the following categories of information:
When you create or use an account, we may collect:
- Your email address
- Your Firebase Authentication account information
- Your email verification status
When you use the app, you may enter and store:
- Shop name
- Shop address
- Shop phone number
- Shop footer or invoice message
- Theme and currency preferences
C. Inventory and Sales Data
DailyPOS stores information you create in the app, including:
- Products and services
- Barcodes
- Prices
- Stock quantities
- Held carts
- Invoices and invoice history
If you use Premium features, the app may process subscription-related information such as:
- Subscription plan and billing period
- Purchase status
- Purchase token or transaction identifiers used to validate or link a subscription
- Subscription dates such as activation, renewal, or expiry
DailyPOS does not collect your full payment card details directly. Payments and billing are handled by Google Play.
E. Device and Local App Data
The app stores data locally on your device to make the app work properly and remain usable between sessions. This may include settings, drafts, printer preferences, and locally stored business records.
F. Camera Access
DailyPOS may access your device camera only when you choose to scan product barcodes.
If you use Bluetooth printing features, the app may access Bluetooth-related permissions and store printer connection details such as printer name and MAC address on your device.
H. Notifications and Messaging Data
If notifications are enabled, DailyPOS may use Firebase Cloud Messaging to receive a device messaging token and deliver app notifications.
I. Shared Content
If you choose to share an invoice through WhatsApp or another sharing destination, the invoice content you choose to send will be passed to the selected third-party app.
DailyPOS may collect limited app usage and diagnostic information through Firebase Analytics to help us understand feature usage, improve stability, and improve the app experience.
We use the information described above to:
- Create and manage your account
- Authenticate you and keep your session secure
- Save your shop settings and preferences
- Let you manage products, services, carts, invoices, and backups
- Scan barcodes using your camera
- Connect to Bluetooth printers and print receipts or invoices
- Back up and restore your data when cloud backup is available
- Deliver notifications and keep messaging tokens associated with your account or device current
- Support Premium subscriptions and restore eligible purchases
- Let you share invoices through WhatsApp or other apps when you choose to do so
- Understand app usage and improve performance, reliability, and features
- Provide customer support and troubleshoot issues
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
DailyPOS uses both local device storage and cloud storage.
A. Local Device Storage
The app stores business data locally on your device so you can continue using the app efficiently.
B. Cloud Backup and Account Storage
Because DailyPOS requires an account to use the app, DailyPOS may back up or store certain account and business data using Google Firebase services, including:
- Account email
- Email verification status
- Shop settings
- Products
- Services
- Invoices
- Held carts
- Subscription-related account records
- Notification token data used for messaging features
This storage is used to help restore your data, preserve account-linked settings, and keep your information available across sessions or after reinstalling the app.
4. Third-Party Services
DailyPOS uses third-party services to operate core functionality, including:
- Google Firebase Authentication for account sign-in and account management
- Google Cloud Firestore for cloud backup, restore, and account-linked app data
- Firebase Analytics for analytics and app improvement
- Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications and messaging token management
- Google Play Billing for in-app subscriptions and purchase restoration
- WhatsApp or other external sharing apps when you choose to share invoice content
These third parties may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.
5. Permissions We Use
DailyPOS may request the following permissions:
- Camera: used to scan product barcodes
- Bluetooth / nearby device permissions: used to discover and connect to Bluetooth thermal printers
- Notification permission: used to display app notifications on supported Android versions
The app requests these permissions only when needed for the related feature.
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in the following situations:
- With service providers such as Firebase and Google Play, to provide authentication, backup, analytics, notifications, and subscription functionality
- With WhatsApp or another app, only when you intentionally choose to share invoice content
- If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of DailyPOS, our users, or others
7. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app’s functionality.
- Local data may remain on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, or clear app storage
- Cloud backup and account-linked data may remain associated with your account until it is deleted
- Subscription-related records may be retained as needed to support entitlement status, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance
- If you delete your account from within the app, we intend to delete your Firebase Authentication account and associated cloud backup data, subject to technical and legal limitations
8. Account Deletion
DailyPOS includes an in-app account deletion feature.
When you delete your account from inside the app:
- Your Firebase Authentication account may be deleted
- Your cloud backup data in Firestore may be deleted
- Account-linked subscription metadata stored by the app may be removed or disassociated where applicable
Please note:
- Data that remains on your physical device may not be removed automatically in every situation unless app storage is cleared or the app is removed
- Information previously shared through third-party apps such as WhatsApp is controlled by those third-party services after sharing
- Certain transaction or technical records may be retained where necessary for billing support, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance
9. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information used by DailyPOS. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s Privacy
DailyPOS is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. International Data Transfers
Because DailyPOS uses Firebase, Google Play services, and other third-party service providers, your information may be processed or stored on servers located outside your country.
12. Your Choices
You may choose to:
- Edit your shop and inventory data inside the app
- Use or not use barcode scanning
- Use or not use Bluetooth printing features
- Allow or deny notification permissions where your device permits that choice
- Purchase or not purchase a Premium subscription
- Delete your account from within the app
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
